“They’re talking about me. I just know it. Arguing about how horrible I am.” Is every argument you overhear about you? Of course it is! You’re not imagining it because you’re bitter. They really *are* out to get you. (But hiding in a desert temple might not be the right course. Even if you *could* rise to the top by facing people’s anger instead of hiding.) Why do you let other people’s problems bother you, anyway? Because they’re part of the group, and the group’s survival is important to yours.
