  1. It is actually very reassuring to think that group minds in the future will be just as stupid as smart people are today. :D

    • (That is to say: they will assume that the things that are obvious to them are obvious to everyone, get so caught up in their brilliant ideas that they confuse their own preferences with everyone else’s, &c., &c., &c.)

      • And make dumb-ass mistakes! They may be clusters of minds running on high-speed substrates with fat linkages between them, but they are still distractible, illogical, and human.

        At least that is my hope. Because I don’t want to end up living like rats in the walls of some weakly godlike posthuman group mind’s world.
