knocking off projects that are not rita

Today I finished off my piece for that “72 Demons” art book. Sent it off, will post it soon if I’m allowed. He came out CUTE.

And I also looked over the details from Further Confusion’s shirt printer. The wraparound design was the favorite, but sadly the printer can’t do it. So I’ll have to do another round of exploratory work, both seeing if I can get something similar with mere front and back art, and taking the #2 and #3 choices further.

Ultimately I’m hoping to make it a COOL PHYSICAL ARTIFACT in one way or another, whether it be a wraparound print, or some kind of crazy ink like glow in the dark or metallics. I guess having my Tarot deck get the spot gloss treatment has made me start thinking about these kinds of treatments; I can’t produce them on screen, or with my own printer, but if I’m going to be involved in a huge run of stuff on serious hardware, I’m gonna see what I can PLAY with.

I wonder if I’ll have that out of my system in a few years, or if I’ll keep on doing it for a long time? We’ll see.

Also, status of Rita: next page is about 1/4 done, dialogue for the next few pages has gotten some helpful comments that made me clarify what I’m trying to do in them. So that’s slowly making its way.
