I think I recognize the cryptic gesture she’s making in the bottom left panel: she’s doing the ‘I’m pinching your head’ move to the city she just left. 😛
I like the monologue to the audience (or just to the city), it seems like she’s quoting song lyrics.
Right on the first count, and very close on the second! Most of it’s an homage to the movie Breathless. Paris, The Skylands, same basic thing. 🙂
